My Story
Ok this is me....................
I'm 39 years old, I've got a fantastic husband, 2 stepsons and my awesome son Ryan who is 12......Ryan took some getting and after losing a baby before we had him I've always resented having to be a working mam.
As anyone who has ever had kids will tell you...when they're little there is no such thing a "me time".....it's probably only in the last couple of years that I've had the chance to think about who I am again....somewhat changed since I became a stepmam at 21!
I work pretty much full time and always feel like the wife/mam side gets a bit neglected as I would love to be home more.
I Started Scentsy in June last year.....mainly because with me, EVERYTHING is about smells....perfume, food, laundry, new cars, flowers, ...literally everything. I thought it might give me a hobby and pay for my other obsession...shoes!
However.......I've found that it's become much much more that that. I have learned more about myself in the last 9 months than in 39 years!! I've gained such a confidence in my abilities and what I can be capable of that it has literally made me reassess my life.
I'm a Civil Servant and for a while I've been feeling like a slave to the machine of get up, go to work then spend the weekend running around catching up. At work I'm a manager and I'm good at my job.....I love coaching my staff, building their confidence and being approachable and Scentsy allows me to do much more of those things!
I love the fact that I can run my own business on my own terms in a way which allows me to be the wife and mam that I want to be. I make my own rules which are right for us and allow us to be in control of how we live whilst doing something I love and believe in.......ultimately I want to make a career out of this.
These are OUR lives and we only get one chance so I'm going to live it the way that is right for TEAM HUNTER!!
